Rahman tujhe salaam!!
Music has no barriers and A.R.Rahman has no limitations.
The man needs no introduction. The maestro has been entertaining our nation with his soothing music over the years. We have been dancing to his tunes, falling in love with his music, soothing our souls with the ever-lasting effect in his music. There is something more than sound in his music.
He z a pride to the nation and with his music direction in Slumdog millionaire, the maestro is shining as gold over the globe. The world is mesmerising to the tunes of the Mozart of Madras. Its Rahman all the way, being honored with awards like Padma Shri by our Government, he z the first Indian national to win a Golden Globe making a beeline for the most covetted statuettes, the Oscar. We, Indians are proud of you and you'll always be our idol, the Indian Idol.

Good things come in small packets..!!!
Aloha!
I am back again, after quite a long time..waz busy in examz fun(contradictory statement for many of you but for me exam days are fun, as this is the time we njoy the most..!!!)
My new post is all about being happy. I have heard people saying that they are trapped in a rat-race and happiness has lost its meaning in their life, they just envisage about how their lives could be if they were happy!!
Wat my point of say is we often try to search for happiness in larger materialistic things albeit they are somewhat hidden in small things we do...and here z where the rubric gets its name from "GOOD THINGS COME IN SMALL PACKETS!"
Here z a quote by Kin Hubbard: "It's pretty hard to tell what does bring happiness. Poverty and wealth have both failed."
Am gonna list some of the things that really make me happy:

- pillow fighting with no reason involved
- wasting all the preparatory leaves provided for examz & then spending the whole last night preparing for the exam & cursing urself
- Clicking photographs, who needs any occasion for it!!!
- wondering about the time spent with an old friend & suddenly ur cell beeps with a message received from the same friend.......

We all are trapped in a social circle and more or less do what is in the interest of our near ones rather than what interests us(wateva be the reason behind)!!!

Live like you were dying!!
Live like u were dying
(Tim McGraw)

(Tim McGraw)

He said I was in my early forties
With a lot of life before me
When a moment came that stopped me on a dime
I spent most of the next days
Looking at the x-rays
Talking about the options, talking 'bout sweet time
And I asked him when it sank in
That this might really be the real end
How's it hit cha get that kind of news
Man, what'd you do (he said)
I went sky diving
I went rocky mountain climbing
I went two point seven seconds
On a bull named FuManChu.
And I loved deeper and I spoke sweeter
And gave forgiveness I'd been denying
And he said some day I hope you get the chance
To live like you were dying
He said I was finally the husband
That most the time I wasn't
I became a friend a friend would like to have
And all 'a sudden going fishin'
Wasn't such an impostition
And I went three time that year I lost my dad
And I finally read the good book
And I took a good long hard look
At what I'd do if I could do it all
again..... and then
I went sky diving
I went rocky mountain climbing
I went two point seven seconds
On a bull named Flew Man Chu
And I loved deeper and I spoke sweeter
And gave forgiveness I'd been denying
And he said some day I hope you get the chance
To live like you were dying
Like tomorrow was a gift
And you've got eternity to think about
What you'd do with it
What did you do with it
What did I do with it
What would I do with it
I went sky divin,
n' I went rocky mountain climbing
I went two point seven seconds
On a bull named Flew Man Chu
And I loved deeper and I spoke sweeter
And I watched an eagle as it was flying
And he said one day I hope you get the chance
To live like you were dying

Masquerading-it suffocates!!
I simply can't find out the reason, why people pretend so much, why can't they just be their selves?? Some of these masqueraders believe that, their pretending nature let others feel that they care...C'mon! you need not show if you really care, it comes straight from the heart. Masquerading only suffocates the relation & the one truly said from heart seems to be a result of that pretending nature only. "BE YOURSELF and everyone loves you the way you are!", this is what I strongly believe!!

Euthanasia-its all about mercy!!!
The act is considered to be illegal in many countries including India. The reason for the act to not to be legalized is given to be "we have no right to kill anybody!", some folklores say "Our custom/traditions doesn't allow us to do so!"...but I here ask a question can you see a person whining every second out of pain just because your custom, ur traditions or maybe your emotions doesn't allow you to do so??? You cannot muster the courage to free the patient of the intolerable pain, and think of the person bearing the pain...he must be suffering very hard, that is the reason he is demanding DEATH. Now, people denouncing the approval of law say that some people employ euthanasia as a technique to kill their mental instead of physical pain...C'mon! people who wanna die out of their mental pain will die and thats wat we call as SUICIDE. People do misinterpret SUICIDE with EUTHANASIA, but the terms are different as in one z a leeway to mental plan and the latter to physical pain.
My point of view says that Euthanasia needs to be legalized. Under patient and the family's consideration, the doctors should be given the right to free him/her(patient) of the pain!!

Chocolates....Umm!!!
Do they need any introduction??Chocolate z one thing u can have anytime, anywhere in wateva mood!! Its a must have for any kind of jamboree-your bday, friend's bday, mom dad's anniversary, re-val result, a new cellphone, or maybe for no reason as they say "khane walon ko khane ka bahana chahie!!"
Here are some of the benefits (http://www.theallineed.com/health/06021102.htm) that chocolates offer:
- They are a good combo of nutrients, proteins as well as vitamins. They serve as an instant energy boosters.
- Besides the nutritional benefits, they also constitutes anti-oxidants.
- It has been proved that sniffing a chocolate bar can boost up your immune system by raising the level of antibodies.
Isn't it great???
So, next time ur mom warns you for having one, you have reason to have many of them!!!!
In the end, wud like to say, "kya swad hai zindagi me....!!"

Are we all selfish?
Bonjour!
The rubric may make no sense to you as it does to me when I read a post in my friend's blog emphasizing on "We all are selfish!". I strongly condemned his saying retorting that sometimes we care more of our dear ones just to see them happy and that ways we are indeed caring more of them of them and not us..so how does that makes us selfish? And his reply really left me flabbergasted as he said "we do that coz that makes us happy as well!" It took time but lately, I got into the depth and realized what he wanted to say..I was impressed!!
We generally don't do things that doesn't interests us and now here the moot point enters, does not doing something that is not in our interests justify our being selfish? Well it certainly does...
Okay! lets take it this way...The dictionary meaning of selfish says giving chief importance to one's own interests as compared to others interests. Don't we give primary importance to our own interest rather than others, though it may lead to someone's happiness that makes us smile, someone's sorrows coz we want to see him/her that way etc. Osama Bin Laden, one who epitomizes hedonism, it won't be wrong to categorize him as a selfish person as he killed thousands of innocent lives because it interests him, and most of you will agree with it. Now, let us consider the mogul Mother Teresa, she saved thousands of lives, showed a way to lacs of orphans coz she found peace in helping others. And if I say she was selfish, most of you would be ready to wallop me...u know why coz we usually misinterpret selfish as a negative word and thats where my friend got a point that it should not be considered as negative. It z a feeling that everyone of us has got, and though we don't aim it but most of the things we do comes out of our selfish nature!! Give it a thought...
au revoir(Goodbye!)

WWW under one web page-Google
I have been using internet from the past 5-6years, and must say, Internet strictly fits into the words-"Everything under one roof!". Everything here means everything let it be friends, shopping, movies, music, banking etc. Within this time span I have seen internet growing with different sites which makes u feel that there z something more you can search for. But one thing thats been constant is Google(constant not in its operation but constant as in the sites I've been exploring since my early-internet-days). Sometimes it seems that internet is shrinking and we have limited ourselves to some of the exemplary sites as wikipedia, youtube, orkut, GOOGLE! Is it so?
Google is named after a mathematical term GOOGOL which refers to a numeral 1 followed by 100 zeros. Ever since its nascent state from september 1998, Google has never seen a declining phase. F
ounded by luminaries Larry Page and Sergrey Bran, Google reflects the mission of organizing the infinite amount of information available on net. Do you have a query? No worries, just type the words "google.com" in your address bar and all you need is to put your query in words. Google has answers to all your queries and that too just a click away! With many of big search engines like Yahoo, ask.com; Google acquires 65% of search world..Isn't it great? The hegemony of Google comes through the adoption of the algorithms it uses to make the search efficient & meet the requirements of the user. In this computer era, Google efficaciously serves all the purposes of a search engine and that is the reason, IT IS BEST!!

A journey from childhood to.....
Sometimes I sit n wonder about my childhood days, the days I'll cherish throughout my life(the line may lead to a misconception that am not happy with my present life or I don't enjoy my present life, but its not so am blessed with a very good life..Thanks to GOD!) Those were the days, when I was more of a bird, free to roam n spread my wings; talk as much rubbish as I can n was given a cognomen CUTE for that; could spend whole day playing with my fantasies(which seems to be a waste of time now); Dolls constituted the most important part of life, do this do that without giving a second thought! There was a time from the age of 7-8(as far as I remember) till the early years of my teen age, I used to hate school searching for an excuse every morning so that I'm not there but all of these excuses failed to work in front of mom(after all she z my mom) and then the time changed(in those late years of my teen age), I made excuses now as well but to go school on holidays even. The child inside me still there, those fantasies still there but all these things took a different turn, a bit grown up, a bit different! Instead of CUTE, it was said "You're a grown up now, don't talk rubbish!"...things do change you know!
Teen age-yet another beautiful phase of life! Running behind each other for that byte of chocolate which you know, if you got wud just be enough to let your mouth feel that u have eaten somethin(obviously 7-8 people running after a chocolate, wat can u expect!), playing pranks on your frenz n spending hours discussing those pranks, spending hours in front of mirror n when you leave "Yaar! I'm not looking good!", talking on phone for hours when u have already spent 6hrs in school + 2-3hrs on tuitions, thinking about that "SOMEONE SOMEWHERE MADE FOR YOU" for hours etc etc. School, whenever one utters that word, it seems a flood of memories drop on. It seems that it was just now when we left our beautiful n memorable alma mater, hard to accept the truth that its been 3 long years since then....Time just flies away...Supposingly, I am an adult now as I have crossed my teen age(thats the only reason for it, I guess). One
expects more of responsibility n sensibility out of you, you have to be mature and that cute part here is replaced by you only, as you think "yaar! it sounds kiddish n we shouldn't say that". I don't think am that responsible, that much sensible n mature enough to enter this very phase of life but accepting the truth again..I'm an adult!!! I have just entered in this phase of live n ambivalent of how it would be..Lets see what life has in store for me....

Reading - a great thing to do!
Reading here refers to novels, magazines, articles etc. n in no ways it is to be interpreted as reading books. Going back 2-3 years, I used to hate reading, text books were the only thing which were to be read as u can't avoid them. I remember when someone advised me on reading novels or newspapers, the very idea which peeps into mind waz "How boring!!" and the very next moment I used to assume the person az most boring one on planet! But if u ask now, things have really changed. Novel apart from timepass has been included in the daily routine. It has more become a matter of interest. The great thing about reading is, it never lets u feel alone and once you get into depth of it...u can spend the whole night reading 'em without a single look of sleep in your eyes. I wish I could I carry on with my text books like this, I may have no doubt top the university ;)!Novels like muzik have really gained much of importance in my life. Novels are really great thing to go on with, and is no doubt my bed time essential. Each novel in itself is different, some of them makes you wonder about the world you neva gonna live in, some of them carries you into your love life, some of them introduces you to the facts of life etc. There is somewat more to learn from each of them and every time I get to finish with one of them, I wonder there is so much to learn. I started with Sidney, liked it and he z the one who created my interest in this world of books. I wonder how beautifully these authors describe the places, men, women; one feels like he is really moving on with story. And when slow muzik is on, ah! it doubles the interest!

Da Vinci Rulez!!
Dan Brown's "Da Vinci Code", a novel that left me completely flabbergasted. I am simply impresse
d by Brown's working! The way anagrams are solved, the history behind every symbol..wuh! took hell outta me!! How can one be so good at it!
If I make an attempt to describe some of the breathtaking pages of the novel, I'm afraid I gonna join out the whole novel. There waz somethin new and more interesting on each n every page that pulled me to read further n further till it ends. There were some parts which I waz completely unaware of, actually there were many n if I wouldn't have read the novel, I doubt if I ever get to know them like PHI-Divine Proportion, Mona Lisa(which I alwaz wondered, why the hell is the painting so famous!), the great master Leonardo Da Vinci(although it describes just a part of him) and various symbols like pentacle. Its something full of knowledge and the biggest factor that makes it so great is knowledgeful and INTERESTING unlike other novels/books.
It would be unfair not to mention about Sir Langdon. Oh God! He z simply great, aficionado about symbols! The way he solved anagrams, history behind symbols, everything he does waz really breathtaking.
Surprisingly, I started it some months back n left coz I found it boring. But the fame of novel attracted me toward it and finally I've read it!
All in all, a tremendous novel which z worth reading for!

Fly!!
FLY
(Hilary Duff)
(Hilary Duff)
Any moment, everything can change,
Feel the wind on your shoulder,
For a minute, all the world can wait,
Let go of your yesterday.
Can you hear it calling?
Can you feel it in your soul?
Can you trust this longing?
And take control,

Fly
Open up the part of you that wants to hide away
You can shine,
Forget about the reasons why you can't in life,
And start to try, cause it's your time,
Time to fly.
All your worries, leave them somewhere else,
Find a dream you can follow,
Reach for something, when there's nothing left,
And the world's feeling hollow.
Can you hear it calling?
Can you feel it in your soul?
Can you trust this longing?
And take control,
Fly
Open up the part of you that wants to hide away
You can shine,
Forget about the reasons why you can't in life,
And start to try, cause it's your time,
Time to fly.
And when you're down and feel alone,
Just want to run away,
Trust yourself and don't give up,
You know you better than anyone else,
Any moment, everything can change,
Feel the wind on your shoulder,
For a minute, all the world can wait,
Let go of yesterday,
Fly
Open up the part of you that wants to hide away
You can shine,
Forget about the reasons why you can't in life,
And start to try,
Fly
Forget about the reasons why you can't in life,
And start to try, cause it's your time,
Time to fly.
In a moment, everything can change.

FRIENDS!!
Friend- a companion for lifetime with whom you can share your personal regards and all.
Well, I don't know how much truth lies in the statement above but I could surely add that friends are one who lets you up when you are down and on the top when you are up. I never believed that there exists some human beings who become the part of your life, who knows you better than you do, with whom you get to know the real meaning of what a life really is!!
I still remember, the very first day when I entered my class XIth. It was a normal day though I was a bit excited as I was putting my step into a new class and I was being categorised as so called SENIOR. New books, new teachers, old friends and loads of fun were some of the things that added to my excitement.
The session started normally and we were put together as seven girls with 21-25 guys. Our physics teacher frustrated by the behaviour gave a sobriquet to the beauties i.e. SPECTRUM. We were delighted like we have got accolade for our performance. Then slowly and slowly we got to interact with boys of our class and that too was very normal without being aware of the fact that it would turn out to be some of the unforgettable moments of our life. We laughed, we played, we had a party time at each and every moment, going to school was a fun, each day a new excitement and this time a bigger one as compared to the very first day. We established such a stupendous relationship in those two years that it was hard to forget those golden days. And to our surprise, we expected we would have cried like hell on our school farewell but we didn't, maybe coz that was not the end. The school life came to an end and we moved to our respective lives for higher studies. I never, even in my dreams imagined that we would be able to maintain contact and would be able to share those laughs, those acts although not lively but verbally....Thank GOD!!
Now, it seems we are grown up as we have couples in our group ;) but forming a 2 hardly matters for the group rather than they'll now be counted as 1. I used to think if ever we get couples in our group then group will develop some of the differences but thanking GOD again it added spice in the group and now I have finally realised noone can dare to introduce differences. We were together and always will be no matter what.
I miss those days, i miss those hang outs..THOSE WERE THE BEST DAYS OF MY LIFE!! And i miss you all a lot. Love you all..KASAM YAARI KI!!
